InSitu goes art

We love art. And we also love good wine. That’s why we have brought the two together at our unique art openings and exhibitions, to which we invite guests at regular intervals on our business premises in Grolmanstraße. Here is a brief overview of upcoming and past events:

Opening reception of Crossing - Berlin Chengdu

21.03.2019

On 21 March 2019, Insitu invited guests to the opening of “CROSSING – Berlin Chengdu”, an exhibition of photographic works by artists from China and Berlin.

In our premises at Grolmanstr. 30, the invited guests spent a sociable evening with a spectacular live calligraphy performance by Ling Luo while enjoying good wines and a delicious buffet.  Alongside the “meet & greet” of representatives of the property scene, the most important guests of the evening were German and Chinese photographic artists Zhang Jian, Fu Liming, Sabine Wild and Mario Dollinger. Ling Luo has been accompanying and supporting delegations from China for more than 25 years, in particular from her home region of Chengdu. In 2011 she set up the “Sino-German Art Exchange Project”, initiating and curating art exhibitions in both China and Germany. “As many of our customers are buyers from Asia, and in particular from China, the concept behind ‘CROSSING – Berlin Chengdu’ fits in very well with us and we are very happy to be hosting the exhibition and supporting the artists in their highly interesting projects,” said INSITU CEO Petra Weber.

The exhibition will be open to the public until September 2019.

Opening reception for Oliver Blohm

27.10.2019

On 27 October 2018, we welcomed the photographer Oliver Blohm to his opening reception at Grolmanstr. 30 where invited guests enjoyed a sociable evening with a live act, fine wines and a delicious buffet.

Besides being an opportunity for the property world to “meet & greet”, the evening, of course, also focused on photographer Oliver Blohm. Oliver Blohm was born in 1987, studied Design and has been described by FLAIR Magazine as “one of the most interesting upcoming photography talents in Germany”. The Zitty Fashion Book named him an “Artist to watch”. His clients include: Bottega Veneta, Loews, Zitty Magazin, Julian Schnabel, Yves Saint Laurent and Bentley Motors. Blohm has made a name for himself with large format analogue photography and exhibits his work worldwide. His innovative image processing techniques, such as microwaving, have gained a great deal of interest internationally. He also operates one of the last three 20×24 Polaroid cameras. This was in use on the opening evening and a live photo-shooting was offered as a competition prize. On the day of the opening, the Berliner Morgenpost newspaper dedicated a double-page spread to his work.

The exhibition will be shown until April 2019.
